High School Religion Teacher

St. Mary Cathedral School in Gaylord, Michigan is seeking a faithful, energetic and dynamic full time High School Religion Teacher for the 2017-2018 school year.  Applicants must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Studies of Theology (a Master’s Degree preferred) and teaching experience.  Having a valid Teaching Certification is preferred.  Candidates must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.  Interested candidates should forward a cover letter, resume and three references, along with the Diocesan Job Application and Background Check Forms found below.  Applications being accepted until the position is filled.   Download Application/Apply Online

 

Communications Coordinator

This position is responsible for all internal and external communications on behalf of St. Mary Cathedral Parish and School and reports directly to Pastor and Principal.  This position is responsible for communicating programs and initiatives to parishioners and parents, as well as educating the public on the opportunities available for students within the school. 

Specific Position Tasks:
-Oversight and management of both the parish and school websites.
-Development and design oversight for all parent and parishioner communications, this includes email blasts, flyers, brochures, and any other print materials distributed to parents, parishioners, or the community.
-Responsible for the planning and implementation of new student development programs and outreach, including meeting with regional parishes and presentations on behalf of St.Mary School to prospective parents and students. This includes annual open house events and other events as deemed appropriate.
-Responsible the planning, promotion, and expansion of parishioner engagement programs (example: Alpha).
-Regular updates to church monitors
-Oversees the development and coordination of the weekly bulletin
-FACTS Management (not data entry)

Requirements:  A bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications with at least 3-5 years in a communication, public relations, or marketing role.  Graphic Design experience is preferred.
