Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long does the service last?

Weekend Masses typically last just over an hour while weekday Masses are usually around 30 or 40 minutes.

  • What should I wear?

When you come to Mass, it’s nice to dress in a way that shows respect for the sacred space and the importance of the service. It doesn’t have to be anything too formal, but we try to avoid overly casual clothes.

Modesty is key, so aim for something that makes you feel comfortable but also reflects the reverence of the occasion. Ultimately, it's about honoring the space and the community, and feeling good while doing so!

  • Am I expected to put money in the offering?

During Mass, there’s an opportunity to contribute to the Church through the offertory. While it’s completely voluntary, donating helps support the many programs and services the Church provides, from maintaining the building to supporting those in need and funding outreach efforts. It’s also a way to express gratitude for the blessings we’ve received and to invest in the community. No gift is too small—every contribution helps make a difference.

  • I'm not Catholic, is it ok for me to participate in communion?

At Mass, Holy Communion is reserved for Catholics who are fully participating in the faith. Receiving Communion signifies full participation in the Catholic faith. It’s a public statement of belief in the teachings of the Church, especially the belief in the Eucharist as the real presence of Christ.

While non-Catholics are always welcome to join in prayer and worship, we kindly ask that only Catholics receive Communion. At this time, you are welcome to come forward for a blessing. Simply join the line and fold your arms across your chest as you approach the priest.
